Hannah Croft and Fiona Pearce met at school, at an age when having a large bust still seemed a possibility. In a radical bid to break free from a quiet, cerebral existence in the Home Counties, they both went to study at Oxford University. Desperate to be chatted up by men from mainland Europe, Hannah studied French and Italian. Desperate not to be, Fiona studied English. Eager to unleash her inner child, Fiona went on to train on the three year acting course at Central School of Speech and Drama. Eager to be like Fiona, Hannah also studied acting for three years, at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Two truths and a lie about Fiona: She has no appendix. She has no tonsils. Croft & Pearce
Croft & Pearce are Hannah Croft and Fiona Pearce. Friends since school, they have been writing and performing sketch comedy together for the past four years. They perform regularly on the London comedy circuit, and have taken successful shows to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival since 2011. As well as recently selling out a gig at the Magnet Theater in New York, they have written episodes for the children’s BBC comedy animation Numtums and have been commissioned by Radio 4 for a pilot of their own comedy series, June & Jean.
